HILGARTWILSON, LLC is looking for an Engineering Designer III/Project Engineer to join its team in Charlotte, NC. This role involves utilizing engineering skills for design tasks related to grading and drainage in development projects, working in AutoCAD to collaborate with staff engineers.

The successful candidate will lead stormwater management designs, assist in site investigations, and prepare construction cost estimates, contributing to significant projects within established budgets and regulations.

Qualifications

• 4-7+ years of residential and/or commercial civil land development work experience.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or PE preferred.
• Knowledge of the local municipal, county and state land use, planning and zoning processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform design tasks including grading and drainage designs.
• Lead the design of Stormwater Management & Conveyance Systems.
• Prepare Construction Cost Estimates based on site plan drawings.
