Job summary

Coastal Fiber LLC. is seeking a General Laborer in the Ashland, VA area to perform physical tasks for telecommunications construction projects. You will assist with site preparation, digging trenches, and cleanup, supporting foremen and crew as needed.

Responsibilities include material handling, installing traffic control, observing utilities during trenching, lifting heavy loads, and working with concrete and asphalt. Requires 1–2 years of experience and a valid driver's license.

As a General Laborer you will be expected to perform tasks involving physical labor for telecommunications construction projects. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, clean up rubble and debris. May assist other workers within Company.

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Supply support truck with materials and tools needed to carry out a job
• Install cones and signs adhering to a Traffic Management Plan
• Watch underground utilities while the foreman trenches
• Rake, shovel, and lift over 75 lbs.
• Work with concrete and asphalt
• Proof conduit and pull cable

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be available to work any shift
• The ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including overnight(s)
