Job description

Construction Journeyman - No Per Diem - ADM Bio Capital

Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools. Must have knowledge of structural design, the ability to read blueprints, and simple layouts. Must understand construction practices, procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
2. Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
3. Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
4. Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, and ramps above ground level.
5. Remove damaged or defective parts of structures and repair or replace using hand tools.
6. Maintain records, document actions, and present written progress reports.
7. Verify trueness of structures, set grade, check for plumb, etc.
8. Mix, transfer, and extend materials such as concrete and asphalt.
9. Fabricate and install concrete reinforcing bars.
10. Place and finish concrete.
11. Maintain a clean job site, pick up tools/equipment, and secure the site each day to eliminate hazards.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
