Parsons is seeking a Civil Inspector - Wet Utilities to join our team in Abu Dhabi. You will inspect wet utility installations, ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and standards, and support testing and commissioning activities.

You will coordinate with contractors and stakeholders, monitor quality, maintain records, and uphold HSE practices on site. The role requires a civil engineering degree and several years of inspection experience; GCC experience is an advantage.

Formación

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years wet utilities inspection experience for Diploma holders; 5+ years for Bachelor's degree holders.
• Strong knowledge of water, drainage, and sewerage systems and applicable standards.
• Ability to read and interpret utility drawings, specifications, and ITP requirements.
• Excellent reporting, communication, and HSE awareness.

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Civil Inspector - Wet Utilities to join our team in Abu Dhabi. In this role you will inspect wet utility works on site to ensure installation, testing, and commissioning are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable standards, and HSE requirements.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Inspect installation of wet utility systems (Potable water, Storm water drainage, sewerage), verifying alignment, levels, and gradients.

• Ensure works comply with approved designs, specifications, and relevant standards/codes.

• Monitor materials and workmanship quality and verify proper trenching, excavation, bedding, backfilling, and reinstatement.

• Witness and verify testing activities (e.g., pressure testing, leakage/flow testing) and support commissioning readiness.

• Coordinate with contractors/subcontractors and utility stakeholders to resolve site issues and implement corrective actions.

• Liaise with engineers and project management to close technical discrepancies and support design/interface coordination.

• Maintain inspection records, reports, and documentation, and ensure safe and environmentally compliant site practices (e.g., waste disposal, stormwater controls).

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.

• Minimum 7 years relevant experience in wet utilities inspection for Diploma holder & 5 years for the Batchelor's degree holder.

• Strong knowledge of water, drainage, and sewerage systems and applicable standards (ASTM/BS/ISO or local).

• Ability to read and interpret utility drawings, specifications, and ITP requirements.

• Strong reporting and communication skills with good HSE awareness and site coordination capability.
