Job summary

Ames Construction is seeking a Project Manager to plan and supervise highway heavy construction projects from start to finish in Belle Glade, Florida. You will coordinate a multi-disciplinary team to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

The role prioritizes safety, strong communication, timely reporting, and effective change management. A Bachelor's degree in Construction or Civil Engineering or equivalent, plus 3 years of relevant experience, is required.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in highway heavy construction as a Project Engineer or Construction Manager.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Instill Safety as a top priority and lead a project team of engineers and superintendents.
• Track and report project progress, budgets, and needs with Operations Managers.
• Build relationships and communicate with owners or owner's representatives.
• Identify and secure approvals for changes in scope, budget, or schedule.
• Provide monthly billings, cash flow projections, and process change orders.
• Assist with updating monthly schedules and coordinating site equipment and staff.
• Serve as project representative with clients at meetings and job walks.
