Job summary

Ames Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee heavy civil construction projects such as highways, bridges, utilities, and earthwork in North Carolina. You will manage planning, safety, budgets, schedules, and client relationships to deliver complex projects on time and within scope.

Strong leadership, excellent communication, and a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent) are required, along with 5+ years of hands-on project delivery

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years managing heavy civil projects.
• Knowledge of DOT specs, earthwork, and structural concrete.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera P6).

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from planning through completion.
• Lead teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Control budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
