Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Technical Project Manager, Civil Engineer to join our Washington transportation team with offices in Tacoma, Seattle, or Portland. You will provide technical project leadership, manage administrative and financial aspects, and ensure safety, quality, and client satisfaction across mid-to-large projects.

You’ll lead cross-functional teams, develop scopes and budgets, and coordinate with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • WA Professional Engineering license required.
  • 10+ years of post-education experience in roadway/highway/site development/transit design.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ project management experience on transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with Sound Transit, WSDOT, and City of Seattle practices.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and design/build processes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee cross-functional teams to execute project work including budgets, hours, expenses, and deliverables.
  • Support strategy, growth, and pipeline development of Civil Engineering work in assigned area.
  • Lead and develop proposal and project scopes, timelines, pricing, and budgets.
  • Manage contracts, negotiations, and client meetings from start to close.
  • Provide strategic input to multidisciplinary project teams for client delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with codes, QA/QC, and safety standards.
