Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking December 2026 and May 2027 graduates to join our civil engineering team in San Antonio. You will assist in design, analysis, and implementation of projects under a licensed PE, preparing reports and coordinating with project managers.

Responsibilities include land development design for grading and utilities, reviewing plans for compliance, and supporting CIP and district services documentation. Strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months from start date.
• Internship experience with a civil design firm is beneficial.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical reports, studies, and documentation.
• Direct and review the work of engineering technicians for accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams on engineering solutions.
• Assist in design and preparation of plans for grading, drainage, and utilities.
• Analyze design alternatives to meet client objectives and site constraints.
• Coordinate permitting and regulatory compliance for site development projects.
• Prepare and maintain CIP documents to support budgeting and forecasting.
• Support bond applications, feasibility studies, and related documentation.

Job Description:Overview:We are looking for December 2026 and May 2027 graduates to join our team. This position will contribute to the successful design, analysis, and implementation of projects within an engineering team.
