Job summary

Lindamood Inc. is seeking an experienced Foreman to oversee field crews on heavy civil projects, including roadwork, grading, excavation, and site development.

This role coordinates daily operations, manages crews and equipment, and ensures work meets project requirements while upholding safety standards. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in civil construction, strong field leadership, experience with GPS/grade-control systems, and the ability to read plans and manage production, quality, and

Qualifications

• 3+ years in civil construction, earthwork, roadwork, or heavy civil ops.
• Foreman/lead or crew leadership experience preferred.
• Strong roadwork, earthwork, grading, and excavation background.
• Experience with GPS, grade-control, or machine-control systems.
• Ability to read construction plans, elevations, and specs.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR preferred; may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Supervise equipment operators, laborers, and field personnel.
• Plan and assign daily work while monitoring production, quality, and schedule.
• Oversee road construction, earthwork, grading, excavation and site prep.
• Read and interpret plans, elevations, specs, and grading requirements.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed (excavators, dozers, loaders, etc).
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and jobsite logistics.
• Work with the Superintendent on short-term planning and project needs.
• Ensure work meets specs, quality standards, and environmental requirements.
• Lead daily JHA/JSA meetings and toolbox talks; enforce safety.
• Identify unsafe conditions and take corrective action; maintain daily records.
• Mentor and support operators, laborers, and junior field staff.
