Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil construction experience (infrastructure/roads/bridges/underground utilities).
• At least 2 years of direct experience as earthwork and grading foreman.
• Able to interpret survey grade stakes and grading plans, use an auto level and rod.
• Familiar with GPS machine control systems (e.g., Trimble).
• Possesses or can obtain VDOT ESCCC-QP and VA DEQ RLD certifications.
• Rigging and signaling competence for lifting and hoisting materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety protocols and PPE usage; conduct safety walks and incident investigations.
• Track and enter labor and equipment hours; coordinate with Superintendent on schedules.
• Manage coordination with subcontractors, vendors and utility owners; ensure plan conformance and quality.
• Document daily activities with photos and journals in the project management system.
