KMM Telecommunications is looking for a motivated and skilled Civil Foreman to join our team of telecommunications professionals in Shrewsbury, MA. We seek an individual who values hard work and trust and wants to lead a civil crew.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform general construction of tower/small cell sites, including site layout, clearing, excavation, concrete foundations, tower assembly, trenching, conduit installation, ice bridge, H-frames, fencing, roads/compounds, cabinet placement, wiring, securing, maintenance/repair, and other tasks as per work orders.
- Pickup and deliver supplies, tools, equipment, cabinets, batteries using KMM vehicle (towing trailer if applicable).
- Maintain all KMM-issued tools and equipment.
- Follow safety procedures when using electrical and communication equipment.
- Lead and manage a crew of 2-4 employees.
- Mentor junior crew members.
- Maintain accurate logs, files, reports, and photos as required.
- Develop a positive image of KMM with employees and customers.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure timely, efficient, and safe completion of tasks.
- Follow detailed procedures for installation and maintenance.
- Adhere to safety standards (OSHA, industry regulations).
- Keep company vehicle clean and presentable.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Ability to read and follow instructions, organize, and work independently.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and documents.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and construction practices.
- Minimum 1-year experience with AC/DC power systems.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Must pass DOT physical if required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email).
- Willingness to travel extensively.
- Physical ability to dig, backfill, lift up to 80 lbs, and work in various positions.
- High school diploma or GED, 3-5+ years construction experience.
- Valid driver’s license with insurable record.
- Ability to drive long distances and tow trailers.
- Flexible to work shifts, including weekends if needed.
