Ames Construction is currently seeking a Civil Foreman to oversee operations on construction sites across the United States. Responsibilities include promoting a safety culture, supervising crews, and managing excavation activities. Ideal candidates will have experience in heavy highway construction, understand OSHA standards, and exhibit strong leadership skills.
The position requires ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions and effective communication skills with team members. Candidates should be proactive and detail-oriented.

Working Conditions: This project is located in Grand Forks, MN. Subsequent projects will be nationally based. Work is primarily performed on active construction job sites, including highways, roadways, and heavy civil infrastructure projects. Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and dust. The position requires walking, standing, climbing, bending, and lifting in a construction environment. May require extended work hours, early mornings, nights, weekends, and occasional holidays to meet project schedules. Frequent interaction with heavy equipment, moving machinery, traffic, and construction hazards; strict adherence to safety protocols is required. Travel between job sites may be required depending on project location. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all job sites. Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug test is required.
