Job summary

Crawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT) seeks an Engineering and/or Office Field Technician in Springfield, MO. This entry-to-early-career role focuses on building basic technical skills while contributing to multiple civil infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities include field surveys, data processing, plat reviews, and CAD-based design support for infrastructure, water, sewer, and site development tasks. This is an on-site position with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in Engineering Technology, CAD, or related discipline.
• 0-3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools and civil engineering practices.
• Exposure to technical software used in the practice area.

Responsibilities

• Perform field survey tasks on a variety of projects with survey personnel.
• Provide office support: downloading, processing, and quality review of field data; assist with plats and ROW documents.
• Support design teams using CAD software for civil projects including infrastructure and site work.
• Provide periodic construction observation to ensure compliance with contract documents.

Associate’s degree or higher in Engineering Technology, CAD, or related discipline
