Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Civil Field Engineer to join our West Texas team, coordinating construction activities, ensuring quality compliance, and supporting project execution from start to finish on heavy industrial sites.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of field engineering experience, with the ability to read civil/structural drawings and work with AutoCAD and surveying equipment to layout and verify work.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of field engineering experience in heavy industrial construction.
• Proficiency in reading civil and structural drawings.
• Hands‑on experience with concrete and rebar installation.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Surveying experience.
• Familiarity with construction cycle and field workflows.

Responsibilities

• Interpret project scope, drawings, and specifications; resolve discrepancies in the field
• Coordinate daily with superintendents, subcontractors, and design engineers
• Manage RFIs, ECNs, change orders, and permit documentation
• Monitor field changes and produce redline drawings to ensure code compliance
• Review and submit test reports; support Quality Control and inspection processes
• Track construction progress, assist in schedule development, and manage material requisitions
• Maintain project documentation, lessons learned, and turnover packagesOperate GPS and survey equipment for layout and verification
