Job summary

IMI Industrial Services Group is seeking a full-time Construction Estimator local to Athens, GA. The role focuses on civil grading, concrete work, shop fabrication and structural elements in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities include analyzing drawings, preparing labor and material estimates, managing vendor/subcontractor bids and providing value engineering. Procore and AutoCAD experience are preferred, with a civil/ME or related degree desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ estimating civil grading/concrete work, shop fabrication and structural projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Excel, Project, Outlook.
• Experience with Procore preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project cost estimates for civil dirt, site grading and concrete elements, plus shop fabrication.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications and drawings to prepare labor and material estimates.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships for bidding opportunities and subcontractors.
• Conduct site/bid walkthroughs and confer with engineers, designers, owners and subs.
• Propose bid alternates and value engineering to reduce costs.
• Prepare scopes of work and schedules of value; support project turnover.
