Job summary

Staples Construction Company INC in Southern California seeks an experienced estimator/project manager to lead civil bid development, forecast project revenue and costs, and coordinate with estimators and controls to meet profitability goals.

You will supervise crews, manage scheduling, review subcontractor quotes, and ensure safe, efficient execution across private and public works with frequent collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience in heavy civil construction.
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressive project experience in heavy civil environments.
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in paving, dirt, and grading in either private or public environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate project revenue and cost forecasting to ensure profitability goals are met.
• Coordinate with estimators and controls to establish budget and bid schedule.
• Lead estimating efforts on civil projects for accurate bid-to-build process.
• Review bid schedules for private and public work and identify new bid opportunities.
• Coordinate with sponsors, managers, and project teams to meet project schedule and resources.
• Participate in bid reviews to ensure bid accuracy and project feasibility.
