Job summary

Henkels & McCoy, Inc. is seeking a Civil Construction Estimator / Project Manager focused on drilled pier foundations and heavy civil utility work in the Northeast.

You will lead estimating from preconstruction through procurement, scheduling, field execution, and closeout, coordinating with clients, engineers, and subcontractors. The role requires strong knowledge of drilling, concrete placement, reinforcing steel, and cost control, with experience using Primavera P6 and B2W.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating and/or project management experience in heavy civil, utility, foundation, drilling, or infrastructure construction.
• Direct experience with drilled piers, drilled shafts, deep foundations, concrete foundations, reinforcing steel, and foundation excavation.
• Strong understanding of foundation construction methods and drilling equipment.
• Experience with drilled piers for utility infrastructure is strongly preferred.
• B2W experience strongly preferred; Primavera P6 strongly preferred.
• Ability to interpret drawings and geotechnical reports.
• Experience with cost tracking, forecasting, change orders, production reporting, and schedule management.
• Proficiency in Excel and BlueBeam.

Responsibilities

• Prepare labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor estimates for drilled pier and foundation scopes.
• Review drawings and documents to develop production estimates and risk allowances.
• Develop work plans, sequencing, and schedules using Primavera P6 or similar.
• Estimate drilling, mobilization, casing, excavation, and foundation installation.
• Manage concrete foundation scope and reinforcing steel quantities.
• Coordinate with clients, geotechnical/enviro teams, vendors, and field staff.
• Support procurement by soliciting quotations and negotiating with vendors.
• Track project costs, forecast production, and manage change orders.
