Job summary

Confidential Employer in Port St. Lucie, Florida is seeking an experienced estimator for heavy civil site development and underground utilities. You will analyze plans, perform quantity takeoffs with AGTEK, and prepare competitive bids using HCSS HeavyBid.

You will collaborate with estimating, operations, and project leadership to drive accurate pricing, identify risks, and support bid strategy. On-site work schedule, with strong growth opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of heavy civil, site development, or underground utilities estimating experience.
• 3+ years of AGTEK quantity takeoffs.
• 3+ years of experience preparing estimates and bid proposals using HCSS HeavyBid.

Responsibilities

• Analyze construction plans, specifications, bid documents, and project requirements to develop accurate, competitive estimates.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for earthwork, underground utilities, roadway, paving, concrete, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted scopes using AGTEK.
• Build detailed estimates and competitive bid proposals using HCSS HeavyBid.
• Solicit, review, and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop labor, equipment, material, and production-rate assumptions.
• Identify project risks, scope gaps, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering options.
• Maintain historical cost information, unit pricing, bid files, and estimating documentation.
• Partner with operations and project management teams during project handoff.
• Support bid strategy, project pursuits, and multiple concurrent estimating deadlines.
