You will translate complex plans into competitive bids using Agtek and HCSS Heavy Bid within a seasoned firm. Expect 5+ years in site development and utilities estimating, precise takeoffs in Agtek, and proposal preparation in HCSS Heavy Bid.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years site development and underground utility estimating experience.
• Minimum 5 years quantity takeoffs in Agtek.
• Minimum 5 years bid proposals in HCSS Heavy Bid.
• Proven ability to evaluate plans and bid documents for heavy civil infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of civil equipment production rates, labor costs, and site logistics.

Responsibilities

• Analyze civil drawings, bid documents, and specs to establish project parameters.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for earthwork, utilities, and paving using Agtek.
• Build complete unit cost models and bid packages with HCSS Heavy Bid.
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate vendor/subcontractor proposals to optimize margins.
• Identify high-risk variables and provide value engineering recommendations.
• Maintain historical cost databases to improve future bidding accuracy.
• Handoffs to field operations and project management after bid wins.

You will play a pivotal role in securing major civil construction and site work projects throughout the Treasure Coast region. You will turn complex plans into competitive, accurate bids utilizing top-tier industry software within a well-established company. How You Will Make an Impact:

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of site development and underground utility estimating experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience performing quantity takeoffs in Agtek.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience preparing detailed bid proposals in HCSS Heavy Bid.
• Proven track record of evaluating plans and bid documents for heavy civil infrastructure.
• Strong working knowledge of civil equipment production rates, labor costs, and site logistics.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical background or professional degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Hands-on field or estimating experience with FDOT, municipal, and commercial site development projects.
• General Florida Contractors License
• Completion of HCSS Academy certification or formal HCSS software training is preferred.
