Job summary

W3Global is partnering with a well-established civil and environmental engineering firm in Connecticut to recruit a Civil/Environmental Project Engineer. The role focuses on designing sanitary sewer and water systems, with CT DEEP/DPH permitting knowledge and a mix of office-based and limited field work.

The candidate will prepare drawings, reports, and permit applications, and contribute to client presentations while collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification required.
• P.E. license preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform accurate engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil and environmental engineering design for sanitary sewer systems, wastewater pump stations, subsurface sewage disposal systems, and water supply systems.
• Apply CT DEEP and CT DPH sanitary design and permitting requirements.
• Prepare construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Develop technical reports, cost estimates, and permit applications.
• Participate in presentations to land use commissions and clients.
• Support project research, analysis, calculations, and documentation.
• Read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
• Work ~95% in office and ~5% in the field.
• Work independently and as part of a team; demonstrate organization and ownership.
