Wade Trim is seeking an Engineering Summer Intern for our Community Design group in our Columbus office. The candidate is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering and must have a valid driver’s license.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required, and knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit is preferred. The role emphasizes self-motivation, organization, and excellent communication as core strengths.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Valid Driver’s License
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Perform routine calculations under senior engineer
• Obtain drawings from local municipalities
• Perform data analysis of rainfall and flow data
• Copy and scan project drawings
• Assist engineer with spreadsheet tool development
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers and take direction
• Work with Planning department
• Work with Design (structural) department
• Work with Hydraulic and Hydrology department
• Communicate with engineering staff and clients
• Maintain excellent client relations
• Maintain a safe working environment
