Job summary

WWC Engineering is seeking motivated Civil and Environmental Engineering students to join our Summer 2027 Internship Program as Engineering Interns.

You will collaborate with engineers, surveyors, geologists, and technical staff on meaningful projects that support communities across our service regions, gaining hands-on experience in design, inspection, environmental assessment, surveying, and regulatory writing.

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Surveying, Computer-Aided Drafting, Environmental Sciences, or related fields.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing project needs.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and enthusiasm for teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering, surveying, and other staff with day-to-day project work.
• Perform preliminary designs and calculations under the guidance of a Project Manager.
• Learn Autodesk Civil3D and other design software applications.
• Research and summarize design concepts, regulations, and technical information.
• Collect and document field data, including construction inspections, surveying, soil and water sampling, and site photos.
• Contribute to technical reports and regulatory permit applications.
• Support compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
