Job summary

Tetra Tech in Orlando, FL seeks a Civil/Environmental Engineer with solid waste experience to join our team. You will interpret federal, state, and local regulations, perform analysis, review technical data, and support project work across civil, environmental, and solid waste disciplines, with some on-site work.

You will build client relationships, assist with proposals, and help develop new business. The role requires a PE or the ability to obtain within one year, 8–15 years in related fields,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering.
• Professional Engineer license or able to obtain within one year of hire.
• 8–15 years minimum experience in solid waste management, biogas system design, or GCCS.
• Permitting experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication, strong organization and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and help direct work for multiple projects and clients.
• Support strategic initiatives for continued work with key clients and business sectors.
• Support the work of others and maintain quality control on projects and administrative tasks.
• Work independently to perform project tasks, design, calculations, and reporting to meet project requirements.
• Serve as a point of contact and maintain positive relationships with clients.
• Assist with proposal development, including preparing technical plans, schedules, and cost estimates; coordinate efforts with staff and clients.
