Job summary

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Civil Engineering Team Lead to guide multiple projects, supervise Engineering Associates and new professionals, and provide technical leadership on conventional projects.

You will design, review specifications, mentor staff, ensure quality and budget adherence, and collaborate with clients. A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, a TN PE license, and 6+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 6+ years of engineering experience.
• Registered TN Professional Engineer (PE).

Responsibilities

• Assists in project scope and budget development, and in project design.
• Provides technical leadership on conventional projects.
• Designs and reviews documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Develops components or complete projects, systems or facilities.
• Directs a subset of project documents and deliverables.
• Participates in client meetings and on-site project monitoring.
• Supervises Engineering Associates and Designers.
• Mentors staff and supports talent development.
