Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an engineering intern in New Hampshire to assist with data analysis, CAD drafting, and site planning across Northeast infrastructure projects. You will work under engineers to perform calculations and prepare field reports, memoranda, and specifications.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in Civil or Environmental Engineering programs with hands-on CAD experience (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD) and internships.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program pursuing a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Previous and relevant work experience
• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to solve engineering problems
• Flexibility, a positive attitude, and open-mindedness
• Hands-on experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or HydroCAD preferred
• At least 2 years of completed coursework in a college-level academic program preferred
• Previous internship experience in engineering, design, or consulting preferred

Responsibilities

• Research, compile, and examine a wide variety of project-related data
• Assist staff with various projects and/or field assignments
• Perform computer-aided drafting tasks and create basic plans in AutoCAD
• Perform engineering calculations under the direction of an engineer
• Prepare written communications including emails, memoranda, field reports, and specifications
• Support infrastructure projects across the Northeast
• Contribute to site planning and design through conceptual design, permitting, construction documents, bidding, and construction oversight activities
