Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program pursuing a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Previous and relevant work experience
• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to solve engineering problems
• Flexibility, a positive attitude, and open-mindedness
• Hands-on experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or HydroCAD (preferred)
• At least 2 years of completed coursework in a college level academic program (preferred)
• Previous internship experience in engineering, design, or consulting (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Research, compile, and examine a wide variety of project-related data
• Assist staff with various projects and/or field assignments
• Perform computer-aided drafting tasks and create basic plans in AutoCAD
• Perform engineering calculations under the direction of an engineer
• Prepare written communications including emails, memorandum, field reports, and specifications
• Support site civil design projects from conceptual stages through design, permitting, construction documents, bidding, and construction oversight
