Job summary

HireNow Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager – Land Development in Phoenix, AZ to lead residential and site development efforts from concept to completion. You will supervise internal engineers, coordinate subconsultants, and drive scopes, estimates and proposals while maintaining QA/QC and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in land development project management, strong budgeting/scheduling skills, and proven leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of land development project management experience.
• Experience leading residential and site development projects.
• Strong design/engineering expertise.
• Advanced AutoCAD Civil 3D skills.
• Leadership of engineering teams and client-facing roles.
• Budgets, schedules and resource management proficiency.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Onsite work in Phoenix, AZ; US work authorization required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead residential and commercial land development projects from planning through final delivery
• Direct internal engineering teams and coordinate multidisciplinary subconsultants
• Prepare project scopes, cost estimates, proposals, and negotiate project agreements
• Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, and overall project performance
• Serve as the primary client contact while fostering long-term business relationships
• Provide technical leadership throughout all phases of project execution
• Supervise, mentor, and develop engineering professionals to support career growth
• Maintain QA/QC standards and ensure technical accuracy across project deliverables
• Apply advanced civil engineering principles to solve complex design challenges

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related engineering discipline
• Minimum 8 years of land development project management experience
• Extensive experience managing residential and site development projects
• Strong civil engineering design and technical expertise
• Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing engineering teams
• Strong project budgeting, scheduling, and resource management experience
• Excellent communication, organizational, and client relationship management skills
• Ability to work onsite in Phoenix, Arizona
• U.S.-based applicants only

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• Experience managing multiple concurrent land development projects
• Strong business development and client retention experience
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and project managers
• Proven ability to negotiate project scopes and professional service agreements
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Strong understanding of municipal permitting, regulatory requirements, and development processes
