Overview

Our growing office is seeking a motivated individual to take an active role in bridge and structural engineering projects across Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. The ideal candidate will be excited to grow client relationships, increase their own knowledge, and support mentorship of a top‑caliber team – all while maintaining their ideal work/life balance. This position offers opportunities to expand your career in a multitude of directions, and you will own and manage discipline‑specific projects.

What You'll Do
  • Use senior‑level technical expertise to consider a broad range of engineering solutions.
  • Plan, distribute work, lead and adhere to schedule and budget on complex or unusual engineering projects.
  • Assist in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
  • Develop scope of work and level of effort, and manage adherence to scope and budget.
  • Oversee completeness and accuracy of the project team's work within the technical discipline.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members to achieve overall project objectives.
  • Coordinate technical aspects of the project with client counterpart and teaming partners at staff level.
  • Lead discipline delivery on larger, multi‑disciplinary projects and work closely with other disciplines.
  • Assist with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work for other disciplines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering and 7 years of relevant experience.
  • PhD in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience.

What We Prefer
  • Bridge design experience.
  • Design experience for MaineDOT, NHDOT, and/or VTrans.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
