Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in civil engineering.

Overview

As a Civil Engineering Principal for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll collaborate with the Office Civil Practice Lead and Operations Lead to grow the Civil Practice in our Cleveland, Ohio office. By developing and strengthening our relationships with prospective and existing clients, you will help guide the growth of the practice on both a local and regional basis. Through your experience, you will guide the external stakeholders through the regulatory environment, and ensure the technical excellence of your projects. You'll be directly responsible for developing and reviewing proposals and project budgets, managing/mentoring a team of engineers and project managers, and performing final quality control/assurance.

In your role, you will guide and lead a team of engineers through multi-faceted civil engineering projects and business development initiatives. As part of the management team, you will assist in the recruiting and professional development of the staff, including the performance of annual reviews and the establishment of development goals. Concurrently, our senior management teams will work with you to customize your individual career path through a variety of professional development and mentoring activities related to your project management, leadership, business development initiatives and service offerings, and assist with office/corporate initiatives.
