Overview

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is growing and we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to establish and build a Civil Engineering Practice in our Irvine, CA office. You will lead efforts to identify opportunities for practice growth, spearhead business development and marketing initiatives, and implement strategies to ensure client service and sustainable expansion of the practice. You will collaborate with other CEC practices to provide an integrated approach to addressing client needs.

The pay range for this position is between $175,000 and $260,000 based on experience and location. CEC offers overtime pay and other benefits.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 15+ years’ experience
• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
• California Professional Civil Engineer License
• Local connections or an existing professional network with developers, architects, businesses, clients, regulatory agencies, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience preparing engineering plans for permitting and construction, and working with regulatory agencies to secure project approvals
• Ability to network and develop strong client relationships
• Experience in technical oversight and project management, including quality reviews of design aspects such as site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management facilities, water‑quality best‑management practices, utilities, and supporting calculations
• Ability and experience to recruit, mentor, and lead the development of a diverse professional staff providing integrated client services
