Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services in Tyler, Texas seeks a Practice Leader - Civil Engineering to lead and support design, permitting, and client development for premier land development projects.

The role offers cross-functional collaboration with senior leadership and opportunities to grow within a dynamic, entrepreneurial firm. Requires PE license and 15+ years’ local experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and PE license with 15+ years of site/civil experience.
• Proven ability to design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, and infrastructure.
• Strong client development and project leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and permit residential, institutional, commercial centers, warehouses, and mixed-use projects.
• Partner with leadership to develop growth plans and staff utilization.
• Lead staffing and hiring for the Inland Empire office.
• Identify new clients, expand work on existing projects, and participate in business development.
• Oversee junior staff, coach and mentor site/civil teams.
• Lead site/civil design across projects from concept to completion, including SWPPP and drainage.
• Demonstrate expertise in land development, geotechnical and environmental integration.
