IMEG is hiring a Civil Engineering New Grad in Dallas, TX. This entry-level role offers hands‑on design, analysis, and project execution experience, with mentorship, training, and opportunities to grow your expertise from day one. You will work closely with experienced engineers and consultants to support engineering solutions and advice that help deliver positive outcomes for clients. In this role, you will assist with engineering analysis, design, field inspections, report writing, permit applications, and site drainage and grading designs while working within project budgets and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations. You will support work across municipal, university, and utility markets while contributing to resilient, environmentally responsible infrastructure.
Perform basic calculations on assigned work, including hydraulic calculations, traffic projections, piling or rebar calculations, and site earthwork balancing. Assist in the design of water and sewer systems for smaller private and larger municipal systems. Assist with grading and stormwater designs for commercial, industrial, and residential site plans. Interact with clients to understand needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively. Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication. Work as part of a project team to support consulting projects, including project planning and scheduling tasks to meet deadlines and objectives. Assist with documenting design decisions and client instructions while monitoring project design progress. Analyze low to medium complexity engineering tasks and propose innovative solutions in collaboration with senior engineers and consultants. Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards, and client requirements. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in civil engineering, and contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG. Prioritize safety and regulatory compliance in all aspects of engineering work, and interpret and apply state and local design criteria to project needs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals.
