Job summary
BHI is seeking a full-time Civil Engineering Manager in Vernal, Utah to plan and design moderate to complex projects while leading an engineering team to meet goals. Based at our Vernal corporate office, you will oversee technical work and coordinate with clients and sub-consultants.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering, a PE license, 7+ years of experience, and strong leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with PE license and 7+ years of related experience.
- Experience leading public/private clients on medium-to-complex projects and navigating permitting processes.
- Ability to lead and build engineering teams, self-manage workloads and schedules.
- Skilled in business development, cost/scope proposals, and managing sub-consultants.
- Proficiency with civil design software (Civil 3D, InfraWorks, Revit) and project management tools.
Responsibilities
- Plan and design moderate to complex projects while managing an engineering team.
- Coordinate with owners, sub-consultants, and permitting jurisdictions.
- Perform engineering calculations and prepare construction plans/details.
- Build and train the team, manage projects, and engage in business development.
