Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering Lead (Civil Works) to lead multi‑discipline analysis within the Dam, Levee, and Civil Works program in Southern California.

The role includes project management, mentoring, and coordinating site development, structural, geotechnical, and hydraulic engineering efforts. Responsibilities include design development, planning, scheduling, and preparation of final design analyses for dams, spillways, and related structures, with familiarity to State Dam Safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required and professional licensure is preferred.
• Master of Science in Civil Engineering or higher is preferred.
• 7 years related experience including 2 years in project management is required.
• Professional Engineer license recognized in the position location is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi‑discipline analysis within the Civil Works program.
• Provide project management, business development, and mentoring to civil engineers and designers.
• Oversee design development, planning, scheduling, and final design analyses for civil projects.
