Schnabel is seeking a temporary full-time Civil Engineering Intern for a May–August 2027 internship to support our growing practice in geotechnical and earth/environment projects. The role provides hands-on experience under the guidance of senior engineers, with emphasis on applying professional principles to real problems.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program (Bachelor’s).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work in a team.
• Willingness to perform office and field tasks.
• Desire to work outdoors; physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Apply professional principles and numerical models to real-world problems under supervision.
• Assist in preparing CAD drawings for contract documents and reports.
• Perform structural and geotechnical design calculations for tunnels and underground structures.
