Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This internship offers exposure to traffic studies, water/sewer studies, and construction plans for civil projects, with mentorship and a focus on practical learning.

Responsibilities include assisting with site grading, CAD drafting, and field inspections, under supervision. Ideal candidates are enrolled in civil engineering programs and eager to learn in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Enrolled in community college courses or a college degree program; focus on civil engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site grading, erosion and sediment control design, CAD design and drafting, storm water management design, water treatment, traffic analysis or utility design.
• Assist with field inspections.
• Observe and participate in construction administration (RFI/Submittal) responsibilities.
