Job summary

Bowman Consulting in Tucson, Arizona is offering a Civil Engineering Intern position to assist with traffic studies, water and sewer design, and construction plans. You will gain exposure to civil site plans and roadway projects under experienced professionals.

Responsibilities include CAD design, field inspections, and participation in intern program learning. Candidates should be enrolled in civil engineering studies and be 18+ with a valid driver's license; strong communication and teamwork

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent commensurate experience.
• Enrolled in community college courses, a college degree program, or continuing education.
• Civil engineering or related discipline focus preferred.
• Must be at least 18 and hold a valid state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Work under supervision and follow established procedures.

• Observe construction administration tasks (RFI/Submittal).

Short Description

Bowman has an opportunity for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team in Tucson, Arizona.

Purpose

Introduction to designing and developing traffic studies, water, storm and sanitary sewer studies, and construction plans, civil engineering site plans, and roadway plans for construction.

Responsibilities

• Perform work under direct supervision of an experienced professional and follow established procedures and clearly defined processes.
• Interact with multiple departments and peers within the organization and participate in intern program learning and development opportunities.
• Assist with all aspects of project scope to include site grading, erosion and sediment control design, CAD design and drafting, storm water management design, water treatment, traffic analysis and/or utility design
• Assist with field inspections.
• Observe and participate in construction administration (RFI/Submittal) responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must hold a valid state driver's license and successfully pass a motor vehicle check.
