Job summary

STV is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern in Richmond, VA for an in-office/remote hybrid role. The internship targets undergraduate and graduate students, with at least 3 days in the office weekly and a preference for a 3+ month commitment and full-time during the internship.

Responsibilities include assisting design, client coordination, feasibility studies, and producing technical reports using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. This is a paid position with the stated range.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited University or NCEES equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing civil engineering projects from conceptualization to completion.
• Collaborate with architects, environmental engineers, and stakeholders to integrate components.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address project issues.
• Support feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments.
• Prepare technical reports, narratives, and development applications.
• Contribute to engineering designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Learn and apply current engineering standards and procedures.
• Assist with preparation of technical proposals and documentation.
• Perform other tasks to support project goals.
