Job summary

LJA Land Development seeks a Civil Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, employee-owned environment. You will work with experienced engineers on real projects, shadow operations, and contribute to day-to-day project activities.

This in-person summer program runs mid-May to early August, is 40 hours per week, and includes mentorship, site visits, training, and networking. Candidates must be enrolled in Civil or Environmental Engineering and bring strong academic

• Candidates must have completed at least one year of college and pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Strong work ethic and motivation to gain industry experience.
• Good organizational and written/oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering assignments with direction from experienced engineers.
• Shadow operations and learn about project phases.
• Take on unique tasks supporting larger projects and daily engineering work.
• Engage with culture and participate in social activities and learn about sectors and services.
