Job summary

OHM Advisors is seeking Civil Engineering interns to gain hands-on experience across transportation, municipal engineering, environmental and water resources, site design, field services, GIS and related disciplines. You will work with engineers and planners on real-world projects, applying classroom knowledge in a collaborative, people-first culture.

Current enrollment in a accredited Bachelor's program is required, with strong communication skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor's program in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Planning, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, GIS, CADD/Design Technology, or a related technical field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; spreadsheet experience preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, ArcGIS, or other relevant software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams in applying engineering and design principles and techniques.
• Assist with reviewing site plans for compliance with applicable standards.
• Participate in construction observation to ensure project specifications are met.
• Assist survey crews on-site and gain exposure to land surveying methods and field techniques.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports, exhibits, and technical documentation.
• Gather and organize data from field visits or research to support project planning.
• Collaborate with project teams and attend internal meetings to gain exposure to real-world project workflows.

Education

Bachelor's student in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Planning, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, GIS, CADD/Design Technology, or related field
