OHM Advisors in Michigan seeks a Civil Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience across transportation, municipal engineering, environmental and water resources, site design, and surveying projects.

You’ll work with seasoned professionals, apply classroom knowledge, and develop skills in design, reporting, and field methods while pursuing an accredited bachelor’s degree. OHM Advisors values mentorship and real-world impact.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; spreadsheet experience preferred.
Experience with design software (AutoCAD/Civil 3D/MicroStation/Revit/ArcGIS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support project teams in applying engineering and design principles and techniques.
Assist with reviewing site plans for compliance with applicable standards.
Participate in construction observation to ensure project specifications are met.
Assist survey crews on-site and gain exposure to land surveying methods and field techniques.
Contribute to the preparation of reports, exhibits, and technical documentation.
Gather and organize data from field visits or research to support project planning.
Collaborate with project teams and attend internal meetings to gain exposure to real-world project workflows.
