Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers in Portland is seeking a Summer Intern in Civil Engineering for 2027. You’ll be hands-on from day one, using Civil 3D with support from licensed engineers to design, create plans, and conduct field visits.

The program runs May–August (or June–September) with flexible scheduling. Office hybrid with 3 days onsite and up to 2 remote; interns gain real project experience, training, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BSCE program at the junior or senior level
• Available for the full 3-month internship
• Able to work full‑time (40 hours/week)
• Pay: $25/hour
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work well both independently and in a team
• Organized and good at managing time

Responsibilities

• Design, create plans, and perform research using Civil 3D and related tools
• Head out on site visits to gather data and validate designs
• Participate in the Intern Training Program and KPFF-U learning sessions
• Collaborate with licensed engineers (PEs) and EITs on real projects
