Job summary

STV, Inc. in Boston is seeking an enthusiastic Civil Engineering Intern to join our team. This hybrid internship is open to undergraduate and graduate candidates and requires in-office presence at least 3 days per week.

Preference will be given to those who can participate for at least 3 months and can work full-time. Responsibilities include assisting in design, coordinating with architects and engineers, preparing reports and development applications, and using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering at ABET-accredited university or NCEES equivalent.
• Eligible for internship at least 3 months and able to work full-time.
• Not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing civil engineering projects from concept to completion per standards.
• Collaborate with architects, environmental engineers, and stakeholders.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and regulators to address issues.
• Support feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments.
• Prepare technical reports, narratives, and development applications.
• Contribute to engineering designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Learn and apply current engineering standards on assigned projects.
• Assist with technical proposals and project documentation.
• Perform other tasks to support goals.
