Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation is seeking an Engineer Intern to assist in daily construction, coordination, and administrative tasks to support project operations on site. You will help manage submittals, track project data, and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.

Responsibilities include supporting Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Superintendent, and contributing to cost management efforts while gaining hands-on experience in heavy civil

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office software.
• Self-motivated with ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety policies and promote Safety first.
• Provide support to Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Superintendent.
• Receive, log, and file project correspondence and shop drawings.
• Record daily project quantities in control documents.
• Assist with material deliveries and coding of materials, labor, and equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors on schedules, billing, and back charges.
• Draft routine correspondence for Project Manager.
• Review and code delivery slips and purchase orders.
• Support project cost management activities.
