Job summary

Short Elliott Hendrickson (SEH) is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Civil team in Minnetonka. You will support field staff with on-site construction observation, surveying, and staking, while assisting project managers with development and design tasks.

The internship targets students in Civil Engineering or related undergrad programs, with travel to sites and offices as needed. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is preferred, and the role offers learning through

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Project Management or related undergraduate program.
• Reliable transportation to travel to/from the office and nearby civil construction sites during the summer 2027 season.
• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections, etc.

Responsibilities

• Support field staff by assisting with on-site construction observation, construction surveying, and staking.
• Assist project managers and engineers with project development and design tasks, while maintaining effective communication with staff, contractors, and clients.
• Accurately draft project information using AutoCAD and related software.
