TRC is seeking highly motivated Civil Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 in our Manassas, VA Office. This is a paid full-time internship from June through August 2027, with potential to transition to a full-time role after graduation.

You will work under Project Managers and Team Leaders with engineers, scientists, and technologists. Responsibilities include supporting design tasks, site layout, and drawing production using AutoCAD, Civil-3D, and related tools.

Qualificações

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Pursuing a Bachelor or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (junior/senior).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid technical and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented team player eager to learn and grow.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.

Responsabilidades

• Support civil engineering design tasks including sheet setup, drafting, and proposal development.
• Assist site layout and grading, utility design, cost estimates, bridge and highway design.
• Help prepare civil construction drawings.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Civil-3D, HydroCAD, MicroStation, PondPack, Bluebeam, and MS Office.
• Complete other duties as needed; may include field work and driving.
• Position is fully in-person.

Overview

TRC is seeking highly motivated and diverse Civil Engineering Interns for our Summer 2027 intern program out of our Manassas, VA Office. This is a paid full-time position. Anticipated duration will be from June through August 2027 (flexible). This position has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists.

Responsibilities

• Support civil engineer design tasks including sheet setup, drafting, and proposal development.
• Support site layout and grading, utility design, cost estimates, bridge and highway design.
• Assist in the preparation of civil construction drawings.
• Use AUTOCAD, Civil-3D, HydroCAD, Microstation, PondPack, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office products.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.
• May include field work and occasional driving as part of project responsibilities.
• Fully in-person position.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, detail orientated person.
• Detailed oriented, team worker, eager to learn, can communicate, and has the ability to work on their own with direction.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)and AutoCAD.
• Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow.

Compensation

In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation

Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
