Kimley-Horn in Irvine, CA is seeking engineering students for Summer 2027 internships. This is not a remote position and interns will join our Irvine office to gain hands-on experience in civil and environmental engineering projects.

Interns will use software including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables, while supporting pre-construction design, permitting, and regulatory processes.

Qualificações

• Pursuing ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• Majors include Civil/Environmental Engineering, Mechanical or related fields.
• Engineering Technology accepted as a candidate field.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze, produce, and QC deliverables using standard software.
• Contribute to pre-construction design, permitting, and analysis.
• Solve problems and collaborate across disciplines with project managers.
• Learn software programs specific to discipline (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, etc.).

Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering students to join our Irvine, California (CA) office for Summer 2027! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.

Contribute to the pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope.

Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients' visions for the future built environment.

Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and our client's practices, procedures, and standards.

Interns will learn one or more software programs specific to their disciplines: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS

Qualifications

In the process of receiving an ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in one of the following majors:

• Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
• Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering
• Engineering Technology

Hourly Range : $31 - $32
