Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Everett, WA is seeking engineering students for an on-site internship. You will utilize AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, and related tools to analyze, design, and QC deliverables for multiple projects. You’ll support pre-construction tasks, permitting, and regulatory compliance while learning Kimley-Horn’s processes and client standards. This role offers hands-on experience across disciplines and professional mentorship.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree in Civil/Environmental or related fields.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Currently enrolled as a student in the Everett area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects of varying size.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize clients’ visions.
• Develop familiarity with regulations andCorporate/Client practices, procedures, and standards.
• Interns will learn software programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS.

Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering students to join our Everett, Washington (WA) office! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
• Contribute to the pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
• Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
• Interns will learn one or more software programs specific to their disciplines: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS

Qualifications

• In the process of receiving an ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in one of the following majors:
  • Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
  • Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering
  • Engineering Technology

Hourly Rate:$29.00 -$32.00
