HDR, Inc. invites students to join as Civil Engineering Intern in Bellevue, WA for Summer 2027. You will gain real-world experience on exciting projects and work with engineers across disciplines to deliver building projects.

You will apply engineering techniques, prepare drawings and models, and participate in design reviews with mentorship from senior staff. This internship emphasizes collaboration, growth, and hands-on learning.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience on exciting projects
• Connect with recent college graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Perform assignments under direct supervision
• Support multidisciplinary project teams in the planning, design, and delivery of building projects
• Assist with the preparation of drawings, models, renderings, specifications, and construction documents
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical, electrical, structural, plumbing, and other design professionals
• Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and site visits
• Conduct research on building systems, codes, sustainability initiatives, and emerging technologies
• Utilize industry-standard software and digital tools to support project development
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
• Experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, SketchUp, or other design software is a plus

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program

• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) Bellevue, WA: $25.00 - $27.00
