Job summary

Core States Group is seeking an ambitious Civil Engineering Designer to launch their career on land development projects from concept to construction. You'll join a collaborative team and apply civil engineering concepts to develop solutions for real-world challenges.

This onsite role is based in Bentonville, AR with opportunities to work across multiple offices. You will prepare construction plans, grading, road design, and reports using Civil 3D and AutoCAD, coordinate with agencies, and

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a Senior, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027.
  • EIT is a plus but not required.
  • Experience working with Civil 3D and AutoCAD software is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to identify practical uses for company-approved AI tools to improve team processes, support better decisions, and increase efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to review AI-generated content for accuracy, protect confidential information, and remain responsible for the final work product.

Responsibilities

  • Apply civil engineering concepts to develop solutions to project challenges
  • Preparation of construction plans, cost estimates, reports, and other project documents
  • Coordination with review agencies, clients, and sub-consultants for permit application
  • Preparation of grading plans, profiles, road design, and details using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Research regulatory requirements and design standards
  • Perform detailed and complex calculations for storm water facilities, utility systems, and roadway improvements
  • Preparation of detailed technical reports and project presentation materials
  • Assist project engineers in completing projects in a timely manner and within project budgets
  • Attend project meetings

This role is paid on an hourly basis with a range of $33.00 - $44.00 and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable laws. The expected approximate annualized compensation range is $70,000 - $90,000.

Work Location
